Looking to see if one of our puppies is right for you? Well here are the results for Volhard's PET test and my own personal notes on the puppies.
Volhard describes Xander as high energy, good with people and animals, and best for a second time owner. I would describe Xander as the perfect family pet. He is patient and kind but has quite the energy and spirit. He is the kind to play with the kids all day and snuggle on the couch all evening. He will need a bit of training because of his high energy but once he understands the rules he will go right with the flow of the family.
Volhard describes York as the pack leader, best as the only pet, and needs a skilled owner. In other words he's a dachshund. York has no fear and does what he wants, he will take a bit of patience and training but deep down he's a big lover. He wants to play constantly and follows you everywhere. He is the type of dog that only loves his people and not so much kids or other pets, so a smaller household is recommended. But to that household he will bond deeply as long as he is respected.
Volhard describes Zora as a good first time pet, good with people and animals, easy to train, and a little independent. I describe Zora as a little snuggle bug she is love motivated rather than food motivated. She is very calm and quiet but is definitely not afraid to stand up for herself if she has to. She is a little hoarder you leave it around she wants it, but she's just a big sweetie pie and will make a wonderful pet for a family or even for the elderly.
